Terms & Conditions
The following terms & conditions are in accordance with the Middlesbrough Shopmobility Insurance Policy. Please read through the terms & conditions & adhere to them at all times. If you are unsure about any of the requirements please do not hesitate to ask a member of our staff for clarification. Please note that Middlesbrough Shopmobility reserves the right to refuse or cancel membership to the scheme.
1. The mobility equipment can only be used within the town centre area unless used for long term hire. Any member of the Shopmobility team can show you the defined area if required.
2. The mobility equipment must not be used to carry babies or children at any time.
3. The mobility equipment must be used with due care & attention.
4. Consideration for pedestrian safety must be taken into account\at all times & special care must be taken when travelling around busy areas.
5. The mobility equipment does not have a legal right of way on a public road & therefore must not be used on the highway.
6. Care must be taken if food or drink are been consumed whilst in charge of the mobility equipment.
7. The equipment must be returned in good condition to the Shopmobility premises (1st Floor Car Park Hillstreet Shopping Centre).
8. Any damage caused to the mobility equipment during its use must be reported immediately to the manager.
9. If you are involved in an incident/accident while using the mobility equipment you must inform Shopmobility staff straight away. Remember you must take responsibility for the safe use of the equipment in accordance with safety considerations overleaf.
10. The mobility equipment must be returned to the Shopmobility premises by the agreed time. Additional charges will be made thereafter.
